Social Clubs

Social Clubs for Older People

These are designed for older people who do not have specialist needs or require intensive care and would like to meet friends, take part in a range of activities, enjoy a meal or simply have somewhere to go where they will be welcomed and made to feel at home. They are in effect a social lifeline! Members of RCSSC and Age Concern manage a number of Social Clubs, all of which have wheelchair access. Links to these and other centres in the Borough are given at the bottom of the page.

Intensive Day Centres

The London Borough of Richmond upon Thames run a number of centres especially for people who have a higher level of need.

These are specialist facilities for people who need short term or long term intensive support for dementia, mental, learning or physical disability or frailty. Attenders need to be assessed and referred to the centres by a social care or a health care professional. To arrange this, you should contact your local Social Care Team.
